Maggie Gets A Logo

In honor of the birth of my daughter (still weird to type that out), I designed a kid friendly version of the famed iSquad logo. The headphones are an obvious shout out to the mp3 name sake of the team and are based off the Dr. Dre Beatz.

iSquad Jerseys Sneak Peak

Got bored waiting to see my official 2011 jersey template so i decided to give it a stab myself. This is a first draft so things could definitely change once I consult with Mr. Gebhart.

iSquad Font Gets and Update

Wanted to bring some new life to the iSquad font. Back when i used to doodle this stuff during class i would always make the font more of a script. Very pleased with the outcome. Its a big step up i think.

I Believe In Narwhals

After making the lightning logo i really wanted to continue to try and make logos for some of the other minor league franchises in our league. Scanning the list the one that immediately jumped out at me was The Narwhals. Struggled with coming up with an idea that would look good for awhile and then finally came up with this. Probably my favorite logo of mine next to the Spicy Mustard Bottle.

Lightning Crashes

The idea for this logo came from know where kind of like a...um bolt of lightning. The logo is for another fantasy minor league franchise called The Largo Lightning. Really pleased with how the logo tu
rned out.

Let The Music Move You

I have had this idea for awhile however never had the proper tools for execution. This was actually the first ever idea I had for an iSquad logo. Obviously inspired by the iPod Ads. Note the outline for the logo below is of the official iSquad logo created by Craig Gephart.

Introducing Spicy

Introducing my very first animated logo. Animated as in its an animated bottle of mustard. Not that it moves around. This is now the official logo for the Athens Dime A' Dog franchise. Very happy with how it turned out. I really neve
r thought i could actually create anything like this. Special thanks for Craig Gephart who provided the software and critique.

Waiting For Spicy

Once i finally finished with the Dime A' Dogs logo I began an extensive viral marketing campaign.

Another Brick In The Wall

While working on web page for the fake minor league franchise for my fake baseball team I had an idea to make a brick wall outfield design. To do all of this i used mostly power point so the end product comes out a little crude. However i spent a lot of time on and it contains a number of inside references to Athens, OH so its one of my personal favorites. Probably my favorite section is the fake flier to advertise an upcoming game vs the Rival Short Circuits that can be seen below.

The Athens Dime A' Dogs

A few years ago our fantasy baseball league began a movement to create keeper franchises. Each team developed an additional franchise to house their minor league players until they could be call up to the big show. When i sat down to figure out what my team should be called it really didn't take me long to come to a conclusion. Growing up in Columbus, OH i always loved to go to Clippers games at Cooper Stadium. One of the Clippers most popular promotions was Dime A' Dog Night. As a result sitting in a modest ball park with a lap full of 10 cent hot dogs became my association as to what minor league baseball was about. Thus the Dime A' Dogs minor league club was born. The log has gone through a few changes over the year before a final rendering. Here a few examples of what I came up with.

All Out All Season!

While re-designing my website I figured it was time to make a logo for my earliest team name: All Out All Season. Truth be told the theme of the logo really doesn't make much sense. I just always enjoyed the sort of Miami Vice 80's style and wanted to craft something in that fashion. Created a lot of stuff using this style that can be seen in the history section of isquadnation.com

The Alternate iSquad Logo

I created this logo a few years ago for The iSquad (my fantasy baseball team). The name for the team came as a play on words referring to some popular music device. The logo continues the them with a parody of the logo for a popular computer manufacturer. I've created a lot of stuff for this team which can all be seen at isquadnation.com.

Welcome to My Design Blog

My name is Andrew and in my everyday trade I am an Athletic Trainer for a Division 1 college institution. However when i'm not taping ankles and wrapping on ice bags I like to spend my free time designing logos for fake sports teams. These are a few of my completely average creations so enjoy and check back for updates.
